by Rod Chapman Why not use an average die; one marked 2,3,3,4,4,5 in place of the usual 1 - 6 D6. This would guarantee at least two rounds of combat.

by ltmurnau That would be a good idea, but I think the original rule was probably put in place because most American board wargamers don't have an average die. I know they are more common in the UK...
