Picked mine up today at my local game store. The cards are MUCH lighter than the other set. On the one hand, green is now green, and blue is now blue, but they do not match at all in saturation. The background of the item and weapons is now yellowish instead of pinkish.
The cards are not greasy, but my first set were, so I can tell the difference quite easily.
I'm not sure what to think. I'd like to know if the first set should have been lighter, or this set should have been darker. I'm not thrilled with the mismatch. It doesn't look good out on the table.

Pretty poor really - they've obviously got printing problems which they need to sort out quickly, especially given the price of the game.
The backs of the cards are matched.
People had said that the difference between card types in Towers was not as clear as they would like between the different card types, when in hand, and especially when sleeved. We specifically said that we were lightening the front of the cards, as we agreed with that comment, and felt that they were not as distinguishable as we wanted them to be. So I am not sure what the problem with the printer is given that we have done exactly what we said we would.
As a company we try to listen to people and improve what we are doing. I think that is a good thing. Improving things involves changing them. I personally do not find the mismatch anything very jarring, though different people will have different responses.
